About Kate: Kate is a Midlands born actress. Taking to the stage at the age of 9, she began performing in Musical Theatre but her fascination for the craft of acting led her to training with Birmingham School of Acting where her acting career began. Beginning to break into the industry in London, Kate saw an importance in craft maintenance with with long term coach Tom Radcliffe (direct descendant of the late Sanford Meisner) through to MC2 Actors Studio ensemble.

Although acting took precedent Kate also loves movement and adventure. As a professional dancer until her acting training in her early twenties , Kate has used her love of moving to deepen her character work and expand her acting skills by training in stage and screen combat. Despite psychological characters being a huge favourite within Kates acting interest, combining her physical lifestyle together with her acting skills to play multifaceted roles is now regarded a major strength of hers. Kate is BASSC unarmed combat and knife work certified and wire work and civilian/military firearms trained and also enjoys trail running, rock climbing, yoga, muay thai and motorbiking.

When beginning in the industry, Kate produced short films as a way to create opportunities to showcase her acting ability, demonstrate her personal drive and also as a way of finding and developing her own artistic voice.

“Acting is an art - creating theatre or films with roles for myself to play basically meant more time to learn, expand my craft and well, just do what I love and have fun!”.

As her producing skills developed, Kate was offered the role of associate producer alongside Fisher Stevens and Leonardo DiCaprio in the documentary And We Go Green.

Kate is always interested in working with production companies offering the opportunity to work on exciting characters and meaningful projects and looks forward to hearing from you.
